During this 4 hour class you will complete both classroom and range training necessary to meet the Maryland HQL requirements. We will cover the importance of firearm safety, situational awareness, personal protection, and the basic nomenclature and operation of handguns, where you can and can't carry your firearm in the state of Maryland, as well as Maryland's laws on self-defense and the use of deadly force, and more.  

Maryland residents must obtain an HQL permit prior to purchasing a new firearm. HQL licenses are not needed for previously owned guns.

*A criminal background check is conducted for all applicants when submitting an application after training. 

*The customer must be at least 21+ to obtain a Maryland HQL  permit and attend class. This permit is available to be obtained by current residents or non-residents of the state.
